The National Health Fund (NFZ) is implementing the project "Support for Primary Health Care (POZ)" based on the agreement signed between the Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund on March 27, 2024. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 Program.
The project will be implemented as a grant program and will be aimed at all entities providing healthcare services that have a contract with NFZ for providing POZ services. The grant recipient can be any entity providing healthcare services with a contract with the National Health Fund for providing POZ services based on the Act on Healthcare Services Financed from Public Funds (Journal of Laws 2022, item 2561, as amended) and the Minister of Health's regulations for specific guaranteed services, including primary health care (Journal of Laws 2021, item 540, as amended).
Expected Target Groups:
- Group I
Up to 5,000 active patients – grant amount up to PLN 300,000.00
- Group II
From 5,001 to 10,000 active patients – grant amount up to PLN 450,000.00
- Group III
More than 10,001 active patients – grant amount up to PLN 600,000.00
- Increase accessibility to POZ services
- Investment support for the development of POZ
- Increase accessibility and efficiency of the healthcare system

- Increase in accessibility to primary and specialist health services.
- The offered support will enable better protection of health and well-being of citizens from environmental threats and negative effects.
- Investment support for POZ may contribute to the opening of new POZ facilities, especially in less densely populated areas.
- A work cycle that ensures continuous improvement of security through the implementation of security recommendations and their subsequent audit.
- As a result of the project activities, there will be an improvement in the quality of health services provided and strengthening of the medical system's resilience.
